OMEX rev limiter removed

Removed the rev limiter, this morning.  Very simple process, literally three wires.

For anyone with a K Series Supersport engine this was a very good mod as the rev limit (7600 rpm), was set too high for the standard pistons.

This set up very easily allowed me to ensure I didn’t go over 7200 rpm* and had a soft cut starting a few hundred revs before the limit.

* this being the max continuous rev limit recommended by the likes of Dave Andrews t/a DVA.

Why have I removed it?

Well the time has come for the Jenvey Direct To Head throttle bodies to be fitted and in order to do so I need a new ECU,  I have entrusted this work to Rob at RatRace Motorsport at Potters Bar.  He recommends the Emerald ECU and that will allow the rev limit to set, making the OMEX rev limited surplus to requirements,

If anyone wants the rev limiter it is for sale.  £40 + P&P to mainland UK addresses,
