No stories, no excuses, nothing to hide – this really is a fabulous example
As its all original body and paint, there is a genuine amount of stone chips and imperfections and cosmetic wear to be found – enough to relax with whilst still presenting beautifully
I bought this so my wife and I could spend more time together – trips out, pub lunches etc, however after 3 rides out, she simply doesn’t like it – “too noisy, too firm, too cramped” etc, so is now ‘just another toy’, hence I am reluctantly looking for something a little more comfortable for her. Shame as I adore the thing.

Adding lightness as Colin Chapman once quoted. And the Caterham Superlight was all about that! Débuted at the Birmingham Motorshow in 1996, the Superlight brand was created and the Superlight model was the first of what would become one of Caterham’s great successes. Built down to a minimum weight, with an uprated 1.6 K Series engine and 6 speed gearbox, the Superlight was an instant hit. This original Superlight was built back in 2002 and was one of the very last, sporting build number 191 on its dash plaque. Ideal for the track and great for the road, this is undoubtedly the sweet spot of the Caterham range.
